Successful Completion of workshop on sediment related disaster prevention technologies between Taiwan and Japan

On January 31, SWCB held a Taiwan-Japan Sediment Related Disaster Prevention Technology Exchange Workshop. Professor Kuniaki Miyamoto (University of Tsukuba), and Professor Chjeng-lun Shieh (Disaster Prevention Research Center, National Cheng Kung University) and other experts and scholars from Taiwan and Japan discussed issues related to sediment related disaster prevention together with SWCB staffs. The SWCB technical research team members shared their research results obtained from the numerical model analysis of sediment hazards, and introduced information collection and functional applications of BigGIS spatial information system. Their research results and information integration capabilities of SWCB have been highly recognized by experts from Taiwan and Japan.
