2015 Taiwan-Japan Joint Symposium on Sediment-related Disasters: Mechanism, Prediction and Assessment

The Soil and Water Conservation Bureau (SWCB) invited 11 Japanese experts and scholars to participate in “2015 Taiwan-Japan Joint Symposium on Sediment-related Disasters: Mechanism, Prediction and Assessment” held in National Chung Hsing University and visited the site. By exchange and technical sharing, it reinforced interaction and progress between Taiwan and Japan regarding slope land disaster technology such as debris flow and landslide in order to upgrade international position of Taiwan in terms of slope land disaster warning, dangerous area entry and risk management, slope land disaster prevention technology and slope land disaster prevention strategy.
