SWCB held the “2018 International Symposium on Technology Exchange for Large-scale Landslide Prevention and Mitigation” on October 11 at CHANG YUNG-FA FOUNDATION International Convention Center. 10 experts and scholars from Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, United States, Japan and Taiwan in the field of large-scale landslide prevention and mitigation. They were invited to discuss issues related to the prevention and control of large-scale landslide disasters and visited the Xiuluan Landslide Site and the Meihua Landslide Potential in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County, and the Landslide Potential Site in Huafan University, New Taipei City to understand the current situation of large-scale landslide in Taiwan and put forward suggestions, so as to jointly explores the current implementation efficiency of large-scale landslide prevention and mitigation work, so as to determine the future direction of disaster prevention and mitigation work.
