2018 Taiwan-Philippines International Symposium on Slope Disasters

Location:Taipei Palais de Chine Hotel, the special exhibition on soil and water conservation at Hakka Cultural Museum in Jiufen, Ershan, SWCB, the Debris Flow Observation Station in Jiufen, Ershan

SWCB held the “2018 Taiwan-Philippines International Symposium on Slope Disasters” at Taipei Palais de Chine Hotel on October 23, 107, invited a total of 15 experts and scholars from Philippines, Vietnam, Australia and Taiwan in the fields related to slope disasters to jointly discuss issues related to slope disaster prevention and control. During the meeting, officials and international experts held warm discussions to enhance Taiwan’s disaster prevention skills and risk management mechanism and share Taiwan's past efforts and experiences in slope disasters with the New Southbound countries. They also visited the special exhibition on soil and water conservation at Hakka Cultural Museum in Jiufen, Ershan, and learned about the operation of SWCB Slope Disaster Monitoring and Response Team.
