Talking about Southern Policy by Taiwan’s Experiences -

SWCB invited Prof. Lee Hung-yuan of National Taiwan University for a special presentation, “Talking about Southern Policy by Taiwan’s Experiences- the Role of Water Resources Sector”, in SWCB on 13th April, 2017. The presentation was hosted by director general, Lee Chen-yang. Prof. Li analyzed the issues we may face in the future, so we understand that climate and society change may come with natural disaster, heavier rain, problems of water resource management, and other risks. We can have prearranged disaster prevention plans based on the concept of spatial planning in advanced. On the one hand, Prof. Li shared related concepts and ideas of low-impact development and sponge city with attendants, and they actually benefited very much from Prof. Li’s sharing. On the other hand, the attendants understood more practical and reciprocal ideas by interaction experiences with Netherlands, Vietnam, Thailand, and create a new win-win modality for cooperation with ASEAN(Association of Southeast Asian Nations), Southern Asia, Australia, and New Zealand
