Experts and scholars from Southeast Asia visited the Nanfeng Community to promote the Satoyama Experience Exchange

Date:10/30~10/31

Location:Nanfeng Community (Nantou)

In order to completely record the coexistence of local community and nature, and improve the international visibility of the community, the Nantou Branch of the SWCB participated in an international agricultural cooperation workshop on October 30, and shared the SWCB’s implementation experience in Satoyama Community with national experts from India, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. In the case of Nanfeng Community, which has reverted to traditional culture in recent years, the Nantou Branch of the SWCB hoped to retrieve the Gaya (the legacy of the ancestors)-people and live in harmony with nature. Representatives from all the countries were invited to experience the traditional culture and tribal cuisine at Nanfeng Community on October 31, in order that experts from afar could understand the natural way of living in rural Taiwan.
