2015 Rural Village Leadership Award: Rural Heroes - Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation, MOA

Awarding Ceremony and Sharing Session

In order to award rural heroes who actively engaged in public affairs of rural rejuvenation, devoted themselves silently and triggered community change and growth, the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau (SWCB) held “2015 Rural Village Leadership Award” this year and selected 30 village heroes with outstanding contribution to rural community development. On December 1, in Eslite Songyan Store Performance Hall, it held “2015 Rural Village Leadership Award: Rural Heroes Awarding Ceremony and Sharing Session”. Chief Secretary Yu-yan Dai of the Council of Agriculture (COA) and Director-General Chen-yang Lee of SWCB arrived and encouraged the rural winners. He acknowledged the long-term efforts to rural villages with SWCB. The award included four categories: “Agriculture. quality goods” -industrial revitalization, “agriculture. outstanding youths” -youths’ return to homeland, “agriculture. good environment” -ecological conservation, “agriculture. good culture” -cultural aesthetics. These heroes will become the best endorsers, models and managers of rural villages and influence others around Taiwan. They exchange with and learn from rural communities in Taiwan, share successful experience and revitalize Taiwan rural villages.
