Conference of Project Management of River Clearance - Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation, MOA

On November 5, the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau (SWCB) held “2015 International Workshop on Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Technology for Large Scale Landslide” in National Cheng Gung University. In the conference, 6 experts and scholars from U.S., Austria and Japan and related sectors in Taiwan were invited to present 10 papers on large-scale landslide disaster prevention and reduction. The topics included “large-scale landslide disaster control strategy”, “large-scale landslide monitoring and warning techniques”, “recognition of large-scale landslide disaster potential area and risk assessment”, “the developing of the evaluation methods of large-scale landslide effecting area”, etc. They exchanged opinions after the conference. There were 230 participants in this conference and it enhanced upgrading of large-scale landslide disaster prevention techniques.
