2013 “Competition of College Students-in-Residence Rural Village”, 20 Teams were Selected in Second Round

The result of second round 2013 “Competition of College Students-in-Residence Rural Village” had chosen 20 teams-in-residence out of 87 teams. These teams are going to experience the team-in-residence program with creativity and passion this summer vacation.

The participants consisted of 87 teams formed by students from 38 universities and colleges, over 150 departments in total, on a cross-school, cross-department basis.

Each teams had to prepare proposals and introduce-videos for the competition. These teams were evaluated by evaluation committee which were composed of professionals from industrial, governmental and academic fields. The judges selected 20 teams-in-residence according to their proposals and introduce-videos, as well as interview performance. The Soil and Water Conservation Bureau stated that students were all well-prepared and each team presented a great, creative performance, making it hard for the judges to make the decision, but finally the 20 teams-in- residence were determined after heated discussions.

The 20 teams this year (2013) are from a wide diversity of departments and schools, among which four teams that impressed evaluation committee last year were still amazing this time, including the Department of Leisure and Recreation of National Formosa University (Dingxi Community, Huwei Township, Yunlin County), Department of Public Relations and Advertising of Kun Shan University (Dujia Community, Qigu District, Tainan City), Department of Soil and Water Conservation of National Chung Hsing University (Zhongyi Community, Daya District, Taichung City) and Bachelor Program of Landscape and Recreation of National Chung Hsing University (Yongfeng Community, Waipu District, Taichung City). Teams which won the committee recognition for the first time this year included Department of Landscape Architecture of National Chin-Yi University of Technology (Fanpo Community, Xihu Township, Changhua County), Department of Visual Communication Design of Chaoyang University of Technology (Shuitou Community, Puli Township, Nantou County), Department of Landscape Architecture of National Chiayi University (Xibei Community, Xingang Township, Chiayi County), Department of Landscape Architecture of Fu Jen Catholic University (Meihua Community, Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County), Department of Landscape Architecture of MingDao University (Gongguan Community, Xiluo Township, Yunlin County), Department of Cultural and Creative Industries Management of National Taipei University of Education (Yongxing Community, Nantou City, Nantou County), Department of Industrial Design of National United University (Shanjiao Community, Yuanli Township, Miaoli County), Department of Plant Industry of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (Wan-An Community, Taiwu Township, Pingtung County), Department of Business Administration of National Cheng Kung University (Nanshi Community, Dongshan District, Tainan City), Department of Mass Communication of I-Shou University (Duona Community, Maolin District, Kaohsiung City), Department of Architecture of Chung Hua University (Emei Community, Emei Township, Hsinchu County) and Department of Technology Application and Human Resource Development of National Taiwan Normal University (Kaikuang Community, Gongguan Township, Miaoli County). Moreover, four teams in eastern Taiwan were respectable rivals and astonished the judges, including the Department of Sociology and Public Affairs of National Dong Hwa University (Beilin Community, Fenglin Township, Hualien County), Department of Ethnic Relations and Cultures of National Dong Hwa University (Chunri Community, Yuli Township, Hualien County), Department of Tourism and Travel Management of Taiwan Hospitality & Tourism College (Olalip Community, Hegang Village, Ruisui Township, Hualien County) and Department of Cultural Resources and Leisure Industries of National Taitung University (Yongfu Community, Changbin Township, Taitung County).
