Disaster Prevention Research Center and National Cheng Kung University organized the Short-term Course on International Disaster Risk Management of 2017 and invited participants from Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia to come to Taiwan for training. Chen-yang Lee, Director of the Bureau, was invited as a guest. It was hoped that the technologies for disaster prevention and mitigation in Taiwan would be applied to practice and be extended to Southeast Asian countries through training.
