Fourteen experts and scholars from Italy, Japan, and Taiwan were invited, and 61 representatives from the Disaster Prevention and Rescue Office of the Executive Yuan Rescue Office, National Science & Technology Center for Disaster Reduction, Central Geological Survey, Forestry Bureau, and the SWCB offices and branches, participated in the session. In the sessions, the participants discussed and exchanged information and ideas on two topics, including the establishment of a large-scale failure strain mechanism and the potential large-scale failure early-warning and monitoring system.
