Participated in the 2019 International Symposium on Taiwan-Southeast Asia Slopeland Disasters - Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation, MOA

The SWCB held the 2019 International Symposium on Taiwan-Southeast Asia Slopeland Disasters at the GIS Convention Center, National Taiwan University (NTU), and invited 16 experts and scholars from the Philippines, Myanmar, Australia, Japan, and Taiwan in the field of slopeland disasters to discuss the related issues of slopeland disaster prevention, in which Chun-Chi Chen (Vice-Chairman, Council of Agriculture) was invited to give a speech at the opening ceremony of the symposium. During the process, industrial, governmental, and academic experts enthusiastically discussed how to improve Taiwan’s disaster prevention skills and risk management mechanism. Taiwan’s efforts and experience in slopeland disaster prevention were shared with the participating countries, thus, realizing the goal of disaster prevention and reduction.
